Built by a carpenter's son, for carpenters.

My dad, Miloš, builds custom furniture. Has been for decades - kitchens, wardrobes, shelving, whatever a client needs. He's great at what he does.

When I was a kid, I used to make visualizations for him. I'd wrestle with PRO100 for hours - sometimes days - just to show a client what their kitchen would look like. As I got older, I had less time, but the need never went away. He'd sketch something on paper at a client meeting, try to explain what the finished piece would look like, and sometimes the client just couldn't picture it. He lost jobs over it.

When AI got good enough to generate realistic images, I had one thought: what if I built something so simple that my dad could use it himself? Something he could pull out of his pocket while still sitting with a client. No software to learn. No designer to hire. No guilt about asking me to spend my evening in front of a screen.

I spent almost a year building exactly that. MiKiNO takes a photo of a hand-drawn sketch, lets you pick materials, and gives you back a photorealistic visualization - fast enough to show the client before you leave the room.

Why "MiKiNO"?

It's what my mum has always called my dad. His name is Miloš, but to her he's Mikino. I named this project after him - because he's the reason it exists, and he's the first person who used it.
